Popotame on the water
Il y a un gros bateau jaune qui flotte sur l’eau d’un grand lac. Le bateau s’appelle Popotame
(oui, comme un hippopotame !).
Mais Popotame a un problème… il adore manger.
C’est incroyable un bateau qui mange!
There is a big yellow boat floating on the water of a large lake. The boat’s name is Popotame (yes, just like a hippopotamus!).
But Popotame has a problem… he loves to eat.
It’s unbelievable—a boat that eats!
Un jour, Popotame voit un énorme gâteau au chocolat sur une petite île.
« Miam miam ! Je veux ce gâteau ! » dit Popotame. Il part en direction de l’île.
One day, Popotame sees a huge chocolate cake on a small island.
« Yum yum! I want that cake! » says Popotame.
He heads toward the island.
En arrivant sur l’île, il voit un petit escargot, qui s’appelle Nono. Il regarde aussi le gâteau.
– « C’est MON gâteau ! » dit Popotame.
– « Non, c’est MON gâteau ! » dit Nono, en avançant très lentement vers le dessert.
When he arrives on the island, he sees a small snail named Nono. Nono is also looking at the cake.
– « That’s MY cake! » says Popotame.
– « No, it’s MY cake! » says Nono, slowly moving toward the dessert.
Mais soudain, le vent souffle très fort… et le gâteau s’envole !
Il arrive sur le dos d’un gros crocodile qui dort sur la plage.
Le crocodile, surpris, ouvre un œil.
– ”Qui me réveille ? » grogne t-il.
But suddenly, the wind blows very hard… and the cake flies away!
It lands on the back of a big crocodile sleeping on the beach.
The crocodile, surprised, opens one eye.
– « Who woke me up? » he growls.
Popotame et Nono, effrayés, se cachent derrière un rocher. Mais le crocodile n’est pas méchant.
Il prend le gâteau, et le coupe en trois parts et dit :
– « Bon, les gourmands, je partage ce gâteau ! »
Popotame and Nono, scared, hide behind a rock. But the crocodile isn’t mean.
He takes the cake, cuts it into three pieces, and says:
– « Alright, little gourmands, let’s share this cake! »
Everyone eats the cake: Popotame, Nono, and the crocodile.
Together, they sing a song:
** »On the water, on the water, we love to eat cake! » 🎶**
From that day on, Popotame never eats alone.
He loves sharing cakes.
« Tout le monde mange le gâteau : Popotame, Nono et le crocodile.
Ils chantent ensemble une chanson :
« Sur l’eau, sur l’eau, on aime manger des gâteaux ! »
Depuis ce jour, Popotame ne mange plus seul.
Il aime partager les gâteaux.
