The incredible hat
Léo a 8 ans et adore les chapeaux !
Il a des chapeaux de toutes les couleurs: un rouge, un bleu, un vert et même un chapeau avec des étoiles !
Un jour, il rentre de l’école et il découvre devant sa porte un énorme chapeau noir. Il met le chapeau sur sa tête… et POUF ! il disparaît !
Leo is 8 years old and loves hats!
He has hats in all colors: a red one, a blue one, a green one, and even a hat with stars!
One day, he comes home from school and discovers a huge black hat in front of his door. He puts the hat on his head… and POOF! He disappears!
Léo ouvre les yeux… Il est dans un zoo, dans une cage immense. Un énorme gorille le regarde.
— Salut ! dit le gorille.
— AAAAAAAAH ! Tu parles ???
— Oui, parce que je mange des dictionnaires au petit-déjeuner !
Léo ne veut pas que le gorille le mange, alors il met son chapeau et il part en courant.
Leo opens his eyes… He is in a zoo, inside a huge cage. A giant gorilla is staring at him.
— « Hi! » says the gorilla.
— « AAAAAAAH! You can talk??? »
— « Yes, because I eat dictionaries for breakfast! »
Leo doesn’t want the gorilla to eat him, so he puts on his hat and runs away.
Mais… SPLATCH ! Il glisse sur une peau de banane et tombe dans une piscine verte et très sale !
— Croaaa ! Qu’est-ce que tu fais dans notre piscine ? demandent les grenouilles.
— Je suis dans la piscine parce que j’ai un chapeau magique qui me téléporte partout !
— Un chapeau magique ? TROP COOL ! dit une grenouille en lunettes de ski. Je peux sauter dedans ?
— Attends, attends, non ! panique Léo.
Léo met son chapeau et saute parce qu’il veut s’échapper… POUF ! il disparaît en plein saut !
But… SPLAT! He slips on a banana peel and falls into a big, dirty green pool!
— « Croak! What are you doing in our pool? » ask the frogs.
— « I’m in the pool because I have a magic hat that teleports me everywhere! »
— « A magic hat? SO COOL! » says a frog wearing ski goggles. « Can I jump into it? »
— « Wait, wait, no! » Leo panics.
Leo quickly puts on his hat and jumps because he wants to escape… POOF! He disappears in mid-air!
Cette fois, Léo atterrit sur un sol moelleux… et sucré !
Tout autour de lui est en chocolat ! Des murs en caramel, des portes en biscuits, un toit en barbe à papa… Et devant lui, un gros roi en chocolat avec une couronne en sucre.
— Qui es-tu ? Pourquoi es-tu sur MON trône en caramel ?
— Euh… je voyage dans un chapeau magique…
— Très bien ! Alors, voici ton défi : mange mon château avant minuit ! Sinon, tu restes ici POUR TOUJOURS !
Il y a trop de chocolat ! Mais Léo n’a pas le choix. Il mord dans les murs en chocolat, il croque les fenêtres en biscuits, il lèche le sol en caramel… Mais le château est trop grand ! Il a mal au ventre ! Léo met son chapeau magique et POUF !
This time, Leo lands on a soft… and sweet floor! Everything around him is made of chocolate! Chocolate walls, biscuit doors, a cotton candy roof… And in front of him, a giant chocolate king with a sugar crown.
— « Who are you? Why are you on MY caramel throne? »
— « Uh… I’m traveling with a magic hat… »
— « Very well! Then, here’s your challenge: eat my castle before midnight! Otherwise, you’ll stay here FOREVER! »
There’s too much chocolate! But Leo has no choice. He bites into the chocolate walls, crunches the biscuit windows, and licks the caramel floor… But the castle is too big! His stomach hurts!
Leo quickly puts on his magic hat and POOF!
Léo devient tout petit et tombe… dans une assiette géante.
La fourchette veut manger Léo ! Léo regarde autour de lui…
Il est au milieu d’une immense table. La fourchette géante s’approche dangereusement !
— AAAAAH ! Je ne veux pas être mange.
— Miam, miam… dit une voix mystérieuse…
VITE ! Léo attrape le chapeau et le met sur sa tête !
Leo shrinks down to a tiny size and falls… into a giant plate.
The fork wants to eat Leo! Leo looks around… He is in the middle of a massive table. The giant fork is getting dangerously close!
— « AAAAH! I don’t want to be eaten! »
— « Yum, yum… » says a mysterious voice…
QUICKLY! Leo grabs the hat and puts it on his head!
Ouf, il est de retour à la maison !
Il est dans sa chambre sur son lit, le visage plein de chocolat.
Son frère entre dans la chambre et le regarde surpris :
— Léo, pourquoi as-tu du chocolat partout sur ton visage ?
Léo hésite, puis sourit :
— Euh… parce que j’ai mangé un château !
Phew, he’s back home!
He’s in his room, on his bed, with chocolate all over his face. His brother enters the room and looks at him, surprised:
— « Leo, why do you have chocolate all over your face? »
Leo hesitates, then smiles:
— « Uh… because I ate a castle! »
